Unity Junction, delivered by Duffus Community Foundation.
Duffus Community Foundation (DCF) is a grassroots family-run and family-founded charity that supports children and young people across South London and Surrey. The charity focuses on improving the mental health and wellbeing of its users by providing mentoring, access to recreational activities, and educational workshops in schools and in the community.
We have called our space Unity Junction as on this occasion we are unifying our service delivery to both young people & adults plus the space is situated on a junction. We wanted to create a homely looking environment that has a fresh look. The graffiti mural piece on site is a picture of our late founder, my brother, Leroy Duffus.
Our mission is to provide a safe haven for growth, connection and learning to help promote positive youth engagement, community inclusion and access to wellbeing activities.
For youth, Unity Junction will provide after school club drop-in sessions including a weekly neurodivergent group session, board game club, Art, Wellbeing sessions, advice and information and more.
For adults and the over 60’s, we will provide friendly tea and cake drop-in sessions, Bingo club, mindful wellness activities and intergenerational projects.
Unity Junction aims to work collaboratively with the community and community partners.
