Hauntingly Good Homeware…

There’s something for everyone! From soft toys and decorations for your own little monsters at Toy Barnhaus and Home Living, to figurines and accessories at Cosmic Comics – it doesn’t stop there! You’ll also find an arrangement of pumpkins for your seasonal display, all without the hassle of carving, thanks to Primark and Next, then sit down with the family and tuck into “Devilishly Delicious” goodies inspired by the very best Disney Villains and treat yourself to a hot steaming mug of pumpkin spiced coffee in your very own pumpkin themed mug. Staying in doesn’t mean missing out! Make Halloween your own.

Who’s who?

Of course if you are heading out, do it in style! Partica is the place to be! With everything from special effects makeup, to wigs, to the costume itself, they’ve got it all. Be inspired and make it your own! Or, if you’re not so into the idea of fancy dress, we’ve got a few easier ideas for you too… Now available in Primark, find the Shrek range! This men’s Shrek onesie is the perfect low maintenance costume! Not only will you look the part, but you’ll be nice and warm too. Remember, with ogres, its all about layers…

Also in Primark, discover the kids costumes! Gone are the days of the dull black witch’s hat and the fake pointy nose, no more good witch/bad witch, we’re talking cool witch! Spider hair clips, purple sparkly hat and wand! It’s a yes from us!

Keeping with the purple theme… check our Claire’s and their “Wednesday” range! Becoming a member of Nevermore Academy has never been easier!

Welcome to the House of Horrors!

Now for the piece de resistance! Are you going for cute and tasteful, or all out house of horror?! Whilst Halloween decorations were originally functional, often aimed at warding off spirits, particularly the Jack-o’-lantern which was made to ward off the devil, Halloween decorations nowadays are more of an invitation to likeminded people looking for a light-hearted trick or a tasty treat. The tradition originated with an ancient Celtic festival on the 31st October, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts, and after being taken across to America where the tradition seems to have thrived, it is now slowly but surely creeping its way through the streets of the UK.

At St Nics this October, you can find a wide variety of choices for every preference. Looking for subtle, or just something sweet over scary – Robert Dyas has just the thing! Meet your very own ghost friends, and have them stand guard, welcoming visitors all through the night. Maybe scary is your thing? Partica has the gore, the horror, and the realism in its decor… something to scare the neighbours kids for good! And then for those who do brave the doorbell… Poundstretcher is ready for you – find all sorts of festive themes goodies to reward the brave!
